Commemoration of the Victims of the Holocaust (The Museum is CLOSED)

An event every year that begins at 12:00 am on day 27 of January, repeating until January 27, 2030

27 January 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi German Concentration and Extermination Camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau by Soviet troops in 1945. In 2005, the date was officially proclaimed International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust by the United Nations General Assembly. On this annual day of commemoration, the UN urges every member state to honor the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and millions of other victims of Nazism and to develop educational programs to help prevent future genocides.
